Ali Naserdean

Ali Naserdean is a former Michigan pharmacy technician who pleaded guilty in federal court to participating in a health care fraud scheme involving prescription medications and the illegal distribution of oxycodone.

What Happened?

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Naserdean and a co-conspirator submitted fraudulent claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for prescription medications that were not ordered or dispensed. Prosecutors say the scheme caused more than $5.6 million in losses to health care benefit programs. (justice.gov)

Federal prosecutors also alleged that Naserdean provided unlawful oxycodone prescriptions to drug traffickers in exchange for cash. He pleaded guilty in April 2026 to conspiracy to commit health care fraud and possession with intent to illegally distribute oxycodone. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 1, 2026.
