What Happened?
According to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Figueroa-Berrios was charged in October 2025 with third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 31-year-old woman while she was a patient at Sinai-Grace Hospital. Prosecutors allege the incident occurred on August 12, 2025, while he was working as a nurse.
He was also charged in September 2025 in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a 41-year-old woman in Detroit. In January 2026, prosecutors announced five additional sexual assault cases involving Figueroa-Berrios, bringing further allegations involving women who prosecutors say were vulnerable patients.
