Keelin Code

Keelin is the Oliver Bell Group’s office administrator and has been in the legal field since 2017. She grew up in a small town in Michigan with her three siblings and many pets. She highly values kindness and honesty, believing that if you put good into the world, good will come back to you. When thinking about her future career, she always knew that she wanted to help people, but didn’t know how she wanted to go about doing so. While studying at Grand Valley State University she minored in Human Rights and became interested in how the law interacts with people’s everyday lives.

After enrolling in her first legal studies class and loving it, she chose it as her major and graduated in December 2018. Knowing that the law can always be changed for the better if there is a good enough reason inspires her to continue learning. She has worked at several different law firms and began working here at Oliver Law Group in 2021. Here, she hopes to continue to help her community and grow as a legal professional. Keelin chose the Oliver Bell Group because she believes in the work that is done to help people and make a positive difference in the world. She hopes to undertake all of the firm’s bookkeeping one day, affirming Oliver Bell Group’s dedication to an in house, close knit team. She also makes it her priority to assist clients and colleagues however she can.

Mia Doakes

Mia is a recent graduate of Davenport University with a degree in Legal Studies. She has always felt called to the legal profession, where her passion resides. There is something special about the power and grace that comes from knowing the law, upholding it, and helping others overcome turbulence through justice. Mia is inspired by a want to help others receive a fair share and the treatment they deserve. As a person with dwarfism, the word “fair” was lost on her due to her disability. She has always felt as though her voice or willingness to be heard was diminished by her stature in relation to her peers. It was in these moments of adversity that she learned to let her voice be her biggest ally.

Mia will continue to advocate for herself and against all forms of discrimination, including ableism, through the work she does at Oliver Bell, and in everyday life. Her goal is to further this mission and echo her drive by assisting others. A quote Mia would like to share is:

“When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go” (Carol Burnett).

The experience she has gained working at Oliver Bell Group has inspired her to conquer the LSAT one day and attend law school – knowing such will only happen through faith, determination, and maintaining a big smile!

Nick Dunham

Nick is the Oliver Bell Group’s bookkeeping service provider. He handles day to day income and expense tracking, monthly invoicing, trust accounting, and financial reporting. Nick is originally from Wisconsin but has lived in Louisiana and Texas since studying at Louisiana State University.

He received his B.S. in Accounting in 2005 and further developed his interest in tax law while earning his law degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2010. He’s always been interested in business finances and works with business owners and law firms throughout the life cycle of their business. He knows the benefits of setting clear goals and making informed decisions and enjoys working with the Oliver Bell Group to support their business mission.

Nick is a licensed Attorney and CPA turned Virtual Bookkeeper and Fractional CFO. He founded Nick Dunham Bookkeeping, L.L.C., in 2021. He previously worked as a Tax Manager for EY, an Attorney at a litigation law firm, and was an Owner of a CPA and Law private practice for several years.

Thor Glenn

Thor is the Oliver Bell Group’s office manager, handling a variety of tasks from drafting and filing of legal documents to client communications. Thor strives to keep clients updated and well-informed about their cases at every turn as keeping the lines of communication open between clients and their legal representation is the lifeblood of the firm.

Thor was raised on a horse ranch where he developed a skill for carpentry, inspired by  his father’s career. He began working for a pizza place in his late teens, granting him the freedom to explore what he dreamed of doing with his life. He spent some time looking into the trades and gained experience as a carpenter, electrician, and groundskeeper.

As a natural born leader, Thor sees a problem and searches for a resolution. This strength quickly turned into a longing to do more; to learn more and actualize positive change. He needed to know what it meant to be human, and perused anthropology – the study of humans – to understand our history. After he understood our history, he wanted to learn more about what makes our world the way it is. As law is the foundation of our society, law seemed the next logical step. Thor studied at Washtenaw Community College and began work here at the Oliver Bell Group. His hope is to grow and develop as a leader while expanding his knowledge of law and the structure of our society. Most importantly, he wants to help others find justice in this world.
